Well, we had a pretty busy Saturday... It started out with us attending the baby expo. There were tons of vendors there and we got some free samples of products (diapers, baby formula) as well as some coupons and brochures. One booth invited Aden over as a "supportive dad" to find out what it is like to be pregnant. Mind you, this is for 1 full term baby so Aden will not know the full effect of what it will be like carrying twins. Even so, he was surprised by how heavy it was.
We then went on to our next Saturday activity.... I think this one needs some explanation. About a month ago Aden told me of an idea for a video he was going to make for work to promote volunteering (he works for Volunteer Calgary). As he told me his idea, I laughed at him. He said he wanted to have zombies going around the city doing different service projects. "Zombies?!" I asked. To which Aden responded, "Zombies are big right now!" I repeated this line to him over the last few weeks as a joke, but to be honest I started seeing more advertisements with zombies which made me admit later that maybe zombies are "in" right now.
Aden and some of his coworkers set the filming date for yesterday, which was the date of Calgary's "Zombie Walk." This way they could get some more footage of zombies, including their own volunteer zombie actors.
I was SHOCKED by how many people came out for this walk, especially because there didn't seem to be much of a purpose behind it (this was a random city event, not something organized by volunteer calgary). I think the organizers tried to get the food bank involved but it didn't really work out this year so next year they will have more of a community purpose behind it. The plaza was packed with zombies. I couldn't stop laughing inside because I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

After seeing this event I would definitely have to agree that zombies ARE big right now!

I love the pregnancy suit!! I was really wanting Jared to wear one of those because he has no sympathy at all for pregnant women and thinks we should just be able to do everything we used to do!! Haha!! How are you feeling girl?
Dang I wish I could have had Jason feel what it was like to be prego! And I also had no idea zombies were so "in" right now...FUNNY!
