Well, here we are at 10 weeks (or 38 gestational weeks) and for those of you who are wondering-- yes, they are still in the hospital! I am pretty sure they love the nurses so much that they are trying to stay as long as possible. We have some amazing "primary" nurses and we are really going to miss them, as will the girls, I am sure. Both girls had a significant bradycardia on Jan 20th so we are doing the 5 day count down from there. So hopefully this will be the week that they are discharged! Here's how our week went:
Adalyn started the week out with a feeding tube but started eating so well that they took it out. She is now eating on demand instead of being fed every 3 hours. Alivia was already eating on demand. They usually go 3-4 hours before waking up to be fed. Her labs came back normal so they don't need to worry about her liver enzymes anymore. Other than that, she had a pretty low-key week. She spends her days eating, sleeping and most importantly, being snuggled by her parents or by the nurses.

Alivia had a pretty similar week to Adalyn. She tends to have more bradies than her sister but luckily they don't count if they are quick dips or during feeds. I think she was just waiting for her sister to catch up so she didn't have to go home alone. She is eating like a champ and gaining weight. Both girls are just above 7 pounds now! She likes to be snuggled all the time! She cries when she is put down but she calms down when she swings in her swing. The girls might be spoiled with their snuggles but after all they've been through I think they deserve it. Good thing grandma will be coming up as soon as they are home because she can't wait to snuggle them all day.

I had to take a pic of the beautiful flowers Aden got me for our Anniversary this week. We went on our "last date without kids" Saturday night-- dinner and a movie. It may be a while before we can get out and do that again!

Will this be the week they actually come home? Stay tuned.....

They are so beautiful is just hurts! I'm SO happy to see how deliciously chunky they are getting. I can see why the nurses love holding them (as well as you guys!)... Praying for it to be this week!! :) xoxoxoxo, babies!
